Quincy Center (MBTA-Station)

Quincy Center is the name of a metro station of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority ( MBTA ) in the center of Quincy, Massachusetts in the United States. It provides access to the Braintree branch line Red Line to the MBTA Commuter Rail commuter trains and Cape flyer.

History

The Quincy Center Station was built in the style of brutalism and opened together with the stations North Quincy and Wollaston in 1971.

The underground station has three tracks, which are accessible via a central platform ( Red Line ) and a side platform ( Commuter Rail ).

The metro station is located at address 1300 Hancock Street at Washington Street. He is completely accessible.

Surroundings

At the station there is a connection to the MBTA 15 bus lines. The parking garage on the station was closed due to disrepair July 4, 2012, reopening is not provided.
