Quintet

A quintet ( to quinto from Italian or Latin Quintetto quintus " fifth " ) is generally a set of fives and especially in music, a group of five performers or a piece of music for such a group. The name Quintet is not used for five-voice choirs. The instrumental quintet was previously called the difference to the vocal quintet " Quintuor ".

Composers such as Joseph Martin Kraus, Anton Reicha, Alberto Ginastera, Jean Françaix, Yun I- sang and Walter Piston wrote each a quintet for flute and string quartet.
