Quintus Fabius Maximus Gurges (consul 292 BC)

Quintus Fabius Maximus was a Roman politician and Gurges Senator.

Maximus was the son of Quintus Fabius Maximus Rullianus. He was in the years 292 and 276 BC consul. His surname is probably Gurges with " spendthrift " translate. Gurges defeated 290 and 276 BC, the Samnites. In the year 273 BC he led the embassy in Rome, who traveled to Ptolemy II Philadelphus to establish diplomatic relations with the Egyptian Ptolemaic kingdom.
