Quirla
Quirla is a municipality in the Thuringian Saale- wood - country circuit and part of fulfilling community Stadtroda.
Geography
Quirla located right at the exit No. 55 " Stadtroda " the A 4
The municipality consists of the villages:
- Quirla (south of the motorway 4) and
- Dorna (north of the motorway 4).
Adjacent communities are Rutter -Lotschen in the north, Bollberg and Morsdorf in the east, Möckern and Tissa in the south and Stadtroda in the West.
Climate
The annual rainfall is 584 mm. Rainfall is low. They are located in the lower quarter of the detected values in Germany. At 18% of the stations, lower values are registered. The driest month is February, the most rainfall comes in June. In June, falling 2.4 times more precipitation than in February. Precipitation varies greatly. At only 23% of the stations higher seasonal variations are recorded.
History
Quirla was first 1525/26 Mentioned Dorna on 24 August 1300.
To the west of the district Dorna, situated on the "Dispute peak" a " rampart " of the Middle Ages. It is divided by walls and ditches into two major sub-areas. The plant is also called " Sweden 's Lair".
In the night of 1 to 2 October 2006, there was in place a tornado of F3 strength, the heavy, another 30 houses slightly damaged about 20 houses and three people injured.
