QupZilla is a free web browser based on WebKit and is licensed under the GPL.

History

The project was started as part of a research project in 2010. The first pre-release version written ( with PyQt library) in Python, was completed in December 2010. 2011, the source code has been rewritten in C to get a portable web browser with seamless integration of look and feel on Windows and Unix desktop environments.
