Qurabiya

Kourabiedes is a typical Greek pastry that resembles about the vanilla. They are made of a crumbly dough using flour, butter, egg yolks, sugar, almonds and flavorings (eg vanilla).

The dough is formed into balls or squirrel ( often with a whole almond in the middle), baked and still hot rolled in powdered sugar before the pastry then cools.

In addition to the Melomakarona Kourabiedes belong to the traditional Christmas sweets in Greece. In pastry shops but these are available throughout the year.
