R. H. Naylor

Harold Richard Naylor (* 1889 in London, † 1952) was a British astrologer and journalist. He has created is considered the first astrologer, horoscopes, depending on the sign of the zodiac based on the birthday and the inventor of the newspaper horoscope.

On August 24, 1930 Naylor published in the Sunday Express, a detailed horoscope of the newborn Princess Margaret and said in the same post different events for the current week ahead. Since the contribution according to the Sunday Express had met with a great response from the readers, Naylor published on August 31, a follow-up post with birthday dependent astrological predictions for individuals who were born in September. On October 5, a corresponding item for people followed with birthday in October. As of October 12, it was a weekly column.

References to the Zodiac containing the column from 1935. Gradually, not to do after Naylor developed the concept of forecasts depending on the day of birth, but by the zodiac sign. His concept has since been adopted by many newspapers and magazines.
