Ra-ngae District

Amphoe Ra Ngae ( Thai: อำเภอ ระแงะ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of Narathiwat Province. The Narathiwat province is located southeast of the southern region of Thailand, at the border to Malaysia.

Geography

Adjacent counties and regions are (from north clockwise): Amphoe Yi - ngo which, Mueang Narathiwat, Cho - Airong, Su- ngai Padi, Sukhirin, Chanae, Si Sakhon and Rueso. All Amphoe located in the province of Narathiwat.

Parts of the National Park Namtok Sipo ( Thai: อุทยานแห่งชาติ น้ำตก ซี โป ) lie in Ra Ngae.

History

The city ( Mueang ) Ra Ngae was separated during the reign of King Puttha Yodfa Chulaloke ( Rama I ) by the Vice - King ( Uparat ) Maha Sura Singhanat by the then Kingdom of Pattani. The post of governor was associated with the title Phraya Ra Ngae. The administration was initially in the nearby state of Kelantan (now Malaysia), she was transferred to Tambon Tanyong Mat later. When King Chulalongkorn ( Rama V ) in 1906 Monthon Pattani einrichtete, Mueang was Ra Ngae one of the satellite cities of Monthon.

Education

In Amphoe Ra Ngae is a branch of the Princess of Naradhiwas University.

Management

Amphoe Ra Ngae is divided into seven subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 60 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.

There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Tanyong Mat ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ตันหยง มั ส ) consists of parts of the tambon Tanyong Mat,
  • Marue Botok ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล มะ รือ โบ ตก ) consists of parts of the tambon Marue Botok.

In addition, there are seven " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
