Rabbel II Soter

Rabbel II Soter ( Rabb'īl ) was 70-106 the last king of the Nabataeans.

After the death of his father Malichus II Rabbel was still a child king of Nabataea. His mother Šagīlat took over in the early years of the government. His sister was the wife of Gāmilat Rabbel queen of the Nabataeans. Rabbel called Soter ( "savior [ of the people ]"). After his death, the Roman emperor Trajan conquered on 22 March 106, with almost no resistance, the Nabataean kingdom. Nabataea became the Roman province of Arabia with Bosra as its capital.
