Rabbit show jumping

As Kaninhop is called a sport (mostly dwarf rabbits ) to be animated in the domestic rabbit to jump on a track with obstacles. The rabbits bear an harness ( waist and chest straps or a shoulder harness or a Norwegian dishes) and are operated by their owners on a leash. More competition variants are the simple high or long jump. The current record levels for these disciplines are of three meters in length and almost a meter in height.

Progression of the competition

At the beginning of an obstacle course is set up similar to the course at jumping. The crucial difference is that the obstacles are much smaller here. Thereafter, the rabbits are usually taken on a leash through the web. The rabbit, which handles its distance in the shortest time with the least number of errors is the winner. As errors tearing a crossbar or three slight corrections by the rabbit holder apply. The Criterion: error ahead of time.

Due to the different abilities of the participating animals, it is customary to divide them into different levels of difficulty. In the lightweight class must, for example, eight obstacles that are up to 25 centimeters high, to be managed. For the animals in the highest class, however, twelve obstacles up to 45 centimeters in height are on the program.
