Rabbitt

Rabbitt was founded in 1972, a pop band from South Africa, which was in the 1970s, extremely popular there.

History

The band was founded in 1972 by the friends Trevor Rabin, Duncan Faure, Ronnie Robot, and Neil Cloud. A precursor band was called The Conglomeration, in their played Rabin, cloud, Robot and guitarist Allan Rosenberg.

1972, they released their first single, a cover of Jethro Tull's Locomotive Breath, which was a great success. After a short break in 1973 due to Rabin's military service, went Rabbitt 1974 tour of South African clubs. In 1976 the debut album " Boys Will Be Boys " was released, the faster gold status achieved than any other South African album before. Rabbitt received for a Sarie, a price considered music.

"A Croak & A Grunt In The Night" (1977 ) was even more successful, and the band was planning a tour of the USA and England. But the plans were dashed and Trevor Rabin left the band and South Africa to start a solo career in England. He took there on the three guitar rock albums Trevor Rabin (1978 ) Face To Face (1979) and Wolf ( 1981) and later became known as the guitarist and singer of the progressive rock band Yes.
