Rabicano

A Rabicano is a horse of any color, in which the fur is interspersed in the ribs with white Stichelhaaren. Also, the upper hair on tail-base white ( white tail roof). The amount of white hair can vary greatly from horse to horse. Legs, hips, shoulders, head and neck remain dark.

Genetics

The Rabicanogen is inherited dominantly, ie horses that have the gene only once see, just like those who have it two times. What are the exact locus and the corresponding gene locus is unknown.

Possible confusion

  • Not yet entirely colored mold: The white is much more widespread, even at the top.
