Rabita Baku

Rabita Baku is an Azerbaijani women's volleyball club based in Baku.

History

Rabita Baku was founded in 2004 and since then plays in the Azerbaijan Super League. 2007/ 08, the women began participating in a European competition and excreted in the CEV Cup against OK Hit Nova Gorica. 2008/ 09 Rabita reached the quarterfinals in the Challenge Cup and lost there against Club Voleibol Albacete, but first won the Azerbaijan championship. 2009/10 it was again national champions and reached number three in the CEV Cup against Uralochka Yekaterinburg. Rabita 2010/11 took first in the Champions League and lost only in the final against Vakifbank Telekom Istanbul. The Volleyball Club World Championship 2011 in Doha, Rabita could return the favor in the final by defeating Istanbul. In 2011, 2012 and 2013 was Azerbaijani Rabita champion again. In 2013 they lost again in the Champions League final against Vakifbank Telekom Istanbul.
