Race queen

In a Grid Girl ( also Race Queen, Pit Babe or umbrella or Paddock Girl ) is defined as a hostess, which is used as an integral part of the track personnel in motorsport for promotional purposes. Their official task is to keep the so-called Starting Grid an umbrella over the driver while working on his car even respectively to present a sign with his race number just before the race start.
