Racha (Georgian რაჭა, rɑt͡ʃɑ ) is a historical- geographical province in Georgia. It is located in the northeastern West Georgia, Rioni Gorge. In the north, Racha is from Russia ( with the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania ), (now Inner Kartli ) bounded on the north-west of the historic Georgian province of Svaneti in the west of Letschchumi, in the south of Imereti and to the east from the historic Kartli. Racha has historically been divided into three provinces: Ratscha by mountains, Oberratscha and Niederratscha. Today belongs to the region of Racha Racha - Letschchumi and Niederswanetien and is divided into the municipalities Ambrolauri and Oni.
