Rachel Chagall

Rachel Chagall (actually: Rachel Levin ) (* November 24, 1952 in Brooklyn, New York City ) is an American actress.

Rachel Chagall grew up on Long Iceland. At age 17, she returned to the College Goddard back to New York to learn the ABC of the spectacle. At age 20, she starred in the plays Hedda Gabler and Romeo and Juliet. She also appeared with in many Off- Broadway plays.

In 1987 she was the lead actress in the film Gaby: A True Story ( German: Gaby - A True Story ), with whom she was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Drama Actress.

Large notoriety she reached in the role of Val Toriello in the U.S. sitcom The Nanny on the side of Fran Drescher.

Rachel Chagall lives with her husband and her twins in Los Angeles.

Rachel's real name is Rachel Levin. But since there already was an actress with that same name, she changed her last name. The choice fell on Chagall - the artist Marc Chagall was the cousin of her grandmother.
