Racing Club de France

Racing Club de France ( also RC France or RCF ) is the name of the first European multi- sports club. The club, which has its headquarters in Paris, and more than 20,000 members counts, currently employs 270 workers, that are supported by 200 volunteers.

The sports club was founded renamed on 20 April 1882 in the great hall of the train station Gare Saint -Lazare under the name Racing Club and Racing Club de France in 1885. A year later, the Paris City Council transferred the club, which already counted 1000 members, the concession of a free field in the Bois de Boulogne, the so-called Parc aux Biches, on a 500 m long slope, a chalet with changing rooms and the Croix- Catelan called sport facilities emerged today on 6 acres more than 40 tennis courts, two swimming pools include ( including an olympic pool), a basketball court, a football field, several volleyball courts and various fitness and training halls. Hockey

The hockey department, established in 1897, was able to win numerous French titles.

Volleyball

The volleyball club was 1941-2009 and was able to win numerous French titles.

  • French Champion Women: (15 ) 1946, 1947, 1951, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1965, 1966, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992

Badminton

In badminton, the club from 1942 to 2001 won 66 national team titles. 29 titles of which won the women's team, 23 the 14 the mixed team and men's team.
