Rackets at the 1908 Summer Olympics

In the IV Olympic Games in London in 1908, a single and a double competition were held in racquets, a forerunner of squash. Venue was the Queen's Club in West Kensington district.

Singles

Date: April 27

For individual events occurred in six British players. Played on three sets to 15 points; was 14:14, there was an extension to 18 points. The final was won by Evan Noel without a fight because his opponent had suffered a hand injury at the end of his semi-final.

Doubles

Date: April 27

In the doubles competition, only three British couples participated. Played on three sets to 15 points; was 14:14, there was an extension to 18 points.

There were only two games Astor / Pennell beat Noel / Leaf with 15:11, 12:15, 15:7, 18:14, 17:15. The finale won Astor / Pennell against Bury / Browning with 6:15 15:7, 16:15, 15:6 and 15:7.
