Radcliffe Line

The Radcliffe line laid in 1947 with the partition of India, the border between India and the new state of Pakistan firmly.

It is named after the British lawyer Cyril Radcliffe.

The line separating the present-day India ( a predominantly Hindu, secular state ) in two places of Pakistan (mostly Islamic population ), namely in the northwest ( Punjab ) and in the north east ( Bengal ) where the then East Pakistan and now Bangladesh was born.
