Radfeld

Radfeld is a municipality with 2279 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the district of Kufstein, Tyrol ( Austria ). The municipality is located in the judicial district of rats mountain.

Geography

Radfeld is located in the Lower Inn Valley and is bordered to the east directly to rats mountain. The settlement is formed by a long series of village south of the Inn.

History

For the first time Radfeld 788 appears under the name of Rheinfelden rate and 790 as Ratfeld. The name of the place suggests two facts out: first, that it was a "field of Rato " and second, that the Germanic settlers vorfanden not a settlement, but usable fields.
