Radical Face
Radical Face is the name of indie solo project of Ben Cooper (born 24 February 1982), who is also a member at Electric President.
Band History
Ben Cooper grew up in Jacksonville ( Florida) and began the age of 16 along with his childhood friend Rickolus first studio recordings that were later published as Headache and Pearl Harbor. 2002 Cooper played with Corey Loop a few songs that came out as Unkle Stiltskin. During this time Cooper took shape under the Radical Face pseudonym on the album The Junkyard Chandelier, which was never published. Solo recordings between 2000 and 2004 brought Cooper out later under the title Random Junk.
2003 founded Cooper and Alex Kane, the duo Radical Face Versus Phalex Sledgehammer and participated jointly three albums. Later they called Electric President and received in 2005 at the Berlin label Morr Music a contract. 2006 there appeared the same electro-pop album. His solo project Radical Face Cooper went back to 2006. He focused on the classic singer-songwriter scheme and took alone at his home in Jacksonville self-composed songs. In addition, he orchestrated all the songs with plenty of guitar, piano, banjo, accordion and percussion. 2007 published the recordings under the title Ghost at Morr Music. The album received great reviews and has been compared to works by Sufjan Stevens, The Postal Service and The Mountain Goats.
The song Welcome Home took place in the advertising campaign "I Am Nikon " from the eponymous photographic technology company Nikon use.
His recent in January 2012 album "The Roots" will be part of a trilogy called " The Family Tree ". Ben Cooper: " I wanted to write a record about a family, but hesitated at first, for fear that it would not succeed well enough when I had first started writing, the ideas just poured After two years I gave. . to get an overview and found that it was enough song material for at least three albums. "
