Radio 5 (Netherlands)

Radio 5 is the fifth radio program of the Dutch public broadcaster Nederlandse Omroep Publieke, which is aimed primarily at an older audience.

History

The program has existed since October 2, 1983 under the name Hilversum 5 On 1 December 1985, was renamed Radio 5. As of April 2001, the program was called Radio 747, as it has since the means wave frequency 747 kHz (formerly 1008 kHz) was common. On 4 September 2006, the return to radio designation was 5

During the day the program is distributed under the name Radio 5 Nostalgia, during the evening and on weekends Radio 5 Avond & Weekend will be sent. The two program windows have different program directors: While Nostalgia Kees Toering is responsible for Radio 5, Radio 5 Avond & Weekend of Laurens bristle passed.

Reception

Radio 5 can be heard in the Netherlands via cable and medium wave. The reception on medium wave is possible because of the powerful transmitter full day in Germany. Additional property provides a live stream on the Internet.
