Radio Bulgaria

Radio Bulgaria is the foreign service of the state Bulgarian National Radio, based in Sofia.

History

Shortwave broadcasts of the Bulgarian broadcasting in foreign languages ​​had existed since 1937. The foreign ministry began at that time with broadcasts in German, English, French and Italian. The Italian -language service was discontinued in the meantime. There were broadcasts in Albanian, Greek, Russian, Serbian, Spanish and Turkish.

Since May 17, 2004 Radio Bulgaria has its own Internet site, on which also broadcasts can be heard. February 1, 2012, the station presented his programs on shortwave, promotes the dissemination over the Internet.
