Radon's theorem
The set of Radon is a mathematical theorem, which goes back to the Austrian mathematician Johann Radon and which is attributed to the area of the convex geometry. It is directly related to the set of Helly and these with other classic sets of convex geometry.
Wording of the sentence
The set can be in a modern version as formulate follows:
The set is sometimes referred to as Lemma of radon (see first web link).
Historical
Johann Radon formulated and proved the theorem in 1921. He then derived from it the set of Helly, which Eduard Helly had found already in 1913, Johann Radon communicated later.
Demarcation
On Johann Radon also another important set of mathematics goes back, namely the set of Radon Nikodým, which is not attributed to the convex geometry, but the measure theory.
Generalization
The rate of radon was largely generalized by Helge Tverberg in 1966 (see also the second web link).
