Raewyn Connell

Raewyn Connell (formerly Bob Connell and Robert William Connell, born January 3, 1944) is an Australian sociologist who critically with culture, media and political power is concerned and has increasingly specialized in gender studies. Raewyn Connell is Professor of Education at the University of Sydney. It is one of the most important scientists in the field of "critical men's studies ". She has an emancipatory approach and used theories and concepts of feminist gender research in order to analyze the situation of women in society. Her most famous and most fundamental contribution to men's studies is the concept of hegemonic masculinity.

" Ruling Class - Ruling Culture"
