Rafael Nickel

Rafael nickel ( born July 30, 1958 in Hamburg ) is a former German fencer, who competed for the FC Tauberbischofsheim.

In 1983, Rafael nickel German champion with the sword. In the World Fencing Championships 1983, he won with the German team silver. At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles Rafael nickel with the German team won the gold medal after the French team was beaten by the individual Olympic champion Philippe Boisse 8-5 in the final.

During his career, nickel studied at the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover. Dr. Rafael nickel has worked as a veterinarian in Norderstedt today.
