Rafael Pacheco Hernandez (born 1954 in Madrid ) is a Spanish amateur astronomer and asteroid explorer. He is one of the first Spanish amateur astronomer who has specialized in astrometry. He uses the Consell Observatory ( Observatory Astronomic de Consell ) (IAU code 176) in Consell on the Balearic island of Mallorca for his work.

In the course of his observations, he discovered between 1992 and 2003 more than 50 asteroids, the majority of whom work together with Ángel López Jiménez.

The asteroid ( 25001 ) Pacheco was named after him.
