Rafael Romero

Rafael Romero Sandrea ( May 22nd, 1938 in Maracaibo ), is a former Venezuelan track and field athlete, who participated three times in the Olympic Games.

At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 Romero resigned from both the 100m and 200m in the flow. Even with the 4 x 100 - meter relay, he could not qualify for another round itself. Four years later, at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome Romero reached both the 100m and 200m the quarterfinals. The sprint relay in the cast Clive Bonas, Lloyd Murad, Emilio Romero and Rafael Romero as the final runners reached the final and finished fifth. 1964 Tokyo Romero approached only in the relay. Rafael Romero won silver in 1962 and gold in the 100 meters over 200 meters at the Central American and Caribbean Games. At the Pan American Games in 1963 Romero won the 200 meters and won silver in the relay.

At a height of 1.78 m his competition weight was 72 kg.
