Rafikjon Sultonov

Rafikjon Sultonov (born 19 February 1988) is an amateur boxer from Uzbekistan. He fights in the light flyweight ( up to 48 kg).

Career

Rafikjon Sultonov has not yet entered into international appearance before 1 Asian qualifying tournament for the 2008 Olympic Games. In the box world championships in 2007 in Chicago Uzbekistan was represented in his weight class by Olimjon Nazarov. Because of this, however, there already was eliminated in the first round, Sultonov was nominated for the tournament. In this staged in Bangkok in February 2008 qualifying tournament, he was able to advance to the finals, where they lost against the Kazakhs Birschan Schaqypow. The second place in this tournament, he still managed to qualify for the 2008 Olympic Games. In Beijing, he met in the first round on the antretenden for France Nordine Oubaali, narrowly lost with 7:8 points and thus different from the tournament.
