Ragone chart

A Ragone chart is used to compare different energy storage technologies. In a Cartesian coordinate system, the specific power (or the power density ) is shown in function of the specific energy. By dividing the specific energy by the specific power of the times for a complete discharge arise. These times can be represented in diagonal isochrones.

The (pronounced "ra - GOH -ni " ) Ragone diagram was first used to compare the performance of batteries. It is named after David V. Ragone.
