Raheem DeVaughn
Raheem DeVaughn ( born May 5, 1975 in Newark, New Jersey) is an American R & B and neo-soul singer.
Biography
To start his career, DeVaughn invested his profits from a talent contest in a few indie publications. Then the label Jive noticed him and signed him. In June 2005, his debut album, The Love Experience appeared. It made it straight into the top 50 in the U.S. album charts. Guess Who Loves You More was a first hit song in the R & B charts.
His big breakthrough DeVaughn already with his second album Love Behind the Melody, which was released in early 2008. It led to the R & B charts and reached # 5 on the Billboard charts. The song was his first hit Woman in the official singles chart and earned him a Grammy nomination in the category of R & B one. The second single customer got a year later received a Grammy nomination for Best R & B Song.
2010 was followed by the third album by Raheem DeVaughn titled The Love & War Master Peace. It came again into the top 10 of the official album charts, but remained overall behind its predecessor. The singles were successful only in the R & B charts. Nevertheless, he was nominated for the Grammy Awards 2011 again, this time in the category Best R & B Album.
