Rahman Sidek

Abdul Rahman Sidek ( born September 20, 1965 in Banting, Selangor ) is a former Malaysian badminton player. He is one of six Sidek brothers. His siblings Jalani and Razif 1992 won bronze in the double at the Olympics, the second youngest brother Rashid won among others Commonwealth Games. The youngest brother Shahrizan, born in 1987, also launched a badminton career. Rahman Sidek could internationally rarely put in the forefront of the scene, however. Famous is Sideks by one of them created, extremely cut up, which was later banned by the IBF. Abdul Rahman himself listed as the most successful victory at the German Open 1990 men's doubles with Ong Ewe Chye. At the World Championships 1989 he resigned Soo Beng Kiang right in the first round against the eventual champion Li Yongbo and Tian Bingyi from. When Thomas Cup 1992, he became world champion with the Malaysian team, but not used in the final. After his playing career, he began a coaching career.
