Raiffeisen Albania

Raiffeisen Bank Albania is a subsidiary of Raiffeisen Bank International AG and with 105 branches (as of 2011) the largest financial services companies in Albania. The bank has around 613,000 customers (as of 2010).

History

Raiffeisen International acquired in April 2004, all the shares of state Banka e Kursimeve for 126 million U.S. dollars. Banka e Kursimeve was the largest bank in the country; 2002, it had total assets after a market share of 56%, measured by the deposit of 63%. The institute was renamed in October 2004 in Raiffeisen Bank. As a logo that of Raiffeisen Bank Austria will be used. 2006 with Raiffeisen Leasing Sh.a. a subsidiary of leasing transactions founded.

Divisions

The Bank offers services for consumers, small and medium enterprises and corporate customers. Since the takeover of additional products and services are - starting with ATMs and debit cards - introduced. The company was allowed to operate in the years before privatization, no credit business. The division rebuilt reached to the end of 2011 a loan volume of nearly a billion euros ( 134 922 million Lek ).

Raiffeisen Bank Albania managed end of 2011, assets in excess of two billion euro ( 322 854 million Lek ).

Of the 1471 employees (2011), almost three quarters were female.
