Rail Cargo Austria
The company Rail Cargo Austria (RCA ) is a freight transport companies in the rail sector with headquarters in Vienna. It is the transportation service provider within the ÖBB Group. That company was from the freight division of ÖBB.
After the takeover of the Hungarian MÁV Cargo, which was spun off in 2007 from the MÀV, the company employs in the year 2008 about 11,000 employees and transported 142 million tons annually.

Corporate Structure
Rail Cargo Austria is one of four operating companies of ÖBB-Holding AG. As such, Rail Cargo Austria itself has shares in other companies of the ÖBB Group and certain subsidiaries from freight forwarding.

Rail Cargo Hungaria
In early December 2008, completely taken over the former MÁV Cargo AG RCA. This expansion in the growth markets of Eastern Europe and, ultimately, a leading position in the European rail freight is sought. As part of the acquisition, the RCA committed to million investment in the new subsidiary. Part of this investment has been provided already by passing two Taurus 1116 locomotives to MÁV Cargo. The two multi-system locomotives were given a new pasting with the logo of MÁV Cargo, more aircraft followed. In March 2010, MÁV Cargo was renamed Rail Cargo Hungaria and changed the films of the 18 locomotives. Stand in July 2012 has RCH over 20 locomotives of the ÖBB series 1116, some of which have but retain the ÖBB logo.
Express Inter Internationale Spedition GmbH
Express International Cargo was founded in 1947 and is since 1999 part of Rail Cargo Austria. The international freight forwarder offers all types of transportation services: truck, container and air cargo transport, overseas and project business as well as inland transport and storage
ÖBB -Produktion GmbH
At the ÖBB-Produktion GmbH RCA holds 51 %. The remaining 49 % are owned by the ÖBB passenger AG. ÖBB-Produktion is responsible for provision and maintenance of locomotives, and the training of train drivers.
ÖBB -Technische Services GmbH
At this company RCA holds 51 %. It is also responsible for the maintenance and servicing of cars.
Industriewaggon GmbH
This 100% subsidiary was formed in part of the outsourcing of all freight cars in their own businesses.

In the context of liberalization and opening up to other markets, four divisions were made .
Cargo & Logistics
The Cargo & Logistics division operates the rail freight as a single wagon and train traffic. Through customized solutions meet the needs of specific goods transports are to be met. Examples are Woodliner or Koper - Express. The main field of activity is seen in Central and South Eastern Europe.
Contract Logistics
The contract logistics division provides the general cargo transport throughout Europe as door to door service. This includes the temporary storage of goods in order in time system just- in the context of supply chain management at certain times to deliver them in a the end customer. Thus, this division takes over parts of the costly intermediate storage of goods ( warehousing ) for the industry.
Intermodal logistics
Intermodal transport (especially containers, trucks ) without transshipment of the cargo with multiple transport modes transport containers transported (rail, road, water). Especially for customers who do not have a private siding, combined transport will be covered, bridging the last mile between customers and Umladeterminal.
The intermodal business tries the high flexibility of the truck to the ground rail service to connect. So in addition to the normal containers, which are bonded to terminals, also increasingly interchangeable containers that can be reloaded with the mobile system used. In several destinations compounds with the rolling road will be offered.
