Raimondo Ponte

Raimondo Ponte ( born April 4, 1955 in Windisch AG) is a native of Southern Italy Swiss football player and now a football coach.

Career

The largest and most successful part of his football career with Ponte denied the Grasshopper Club Zurich. He was one of the key players in the team who pushed forward 1978 to the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup. This season he was top scorer in the UEFA Cup. After two -year side trip to Nottingham Forest or SC Bastia, he returned to Zurich. He finished with 33 years and three league titles his playing career.

Pontes first as a coach was the FC Baden. With FC Zurich, whose head coach, he spent five years, he succeeded in 1998 to achieve unexpected international success. Later was Ponte coach in Italy and FC Luzern.
