Raimonds Vilkoits

Raimonds Vilkoits ( born April 10, 1990 in Riga, Latvian SSR) is a Latvian ice hockey player who is since August 2013 in Jokipojat in the Mestis under contract.

Career

Raimonds Vilkoits began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior department of the SK Riga 18, for which he was active until 2008. Subsequently, the Center issued in the 2008 /09 season his debut in professional hockey for the 2000 HK Riga, for which he was active in the Belarusian Extraliga. After the club was disbanded for financial reasons, he joined the league rivals Dinamo- Juniors Riga, for which he also came in the 2009/10 season in the Extraliga used.

Since the season 2010/11 Vilkoits stands at Dinamo Riga under contract. For the professional team of the capital club, he came in the course of the season in the Kontinental Hockey League to three missions in which he scored a goal. He spent the entire rest of the season with Dinamo's Partner Team HK Riga in the multinational junior league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja league in which he was able to convince and assistant captain of his team was. Among other things, he took part in the All- Star game in the league. For the season 2011/12 he moved to IF Troja Ljungby - from the HockeyAllsvenskan, the Swedish second division. In November 2011, he returned, however, back to Dinamo Riga and was subsequently used in the HK Riga. In summer 2012, he completed a trial at the Hannover Scorpions.

Internationally

For Latvia Vilkoits participated in the U18 Junior B World Cup 2008, as well as the U20 World Youth Championship, 2010. For the latter, he was an assistant captain of his team.
