Rainer Arnold

Rainer Arnold ( born June 21, 1950 in Stuttgart ) is a German politician ( SPD).

He is since 2002 defense policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group.

Life and career

Post-high school in 1967 at the Realschule Bernhausen Arnold graduated to 1970 an apprenticeship as a telecommunications technician and then worked as a telecommunications auditor until 1973. After he had attained the technical college in 1971, he was in 1973, the entrance exam to the University of Education Ludwigsburg to study without High School, where he studied from 1974 to 1978. From 1980 to 1998, Arnold was finally EDP Head of Department and Head of the Organization Department of the folk high school in Stuttgart. In 1983, he also has a contact study " adult education " completed at the University of Education Ludwigsburg.

Arnold is married and has a son.

Since 1972 he is member of the SPD. From 1981 to 1995 he was chairman of the SPD district Esslingen Association and from 1996 to 1997 Member of the Land executive of the SPD in Baden- Württemberg.
