Rain in the mountains (Chinese空 山 灵 雨/空 山 灵 雨, Pinyin Kong Shān líng yǔ ) is a film directed by King Hu from the year 1979.

Action

The dying abbot of a Buddhist monastery to determine his successor. To advise it loads and secular officials in the monastery. However, these pursue their own agendas and it comes to intrigues and struggles. Finally, all a former convict is appointed as the new abbot, to the astonishment.
