Rajadhiraja Chola

Rajadhiraja Chola I ( Tamil: முதலாம் இராஜாதிராஜ சோழன் ) (* 1018, † 1054 ) reigned over South India as the Chola king succeeding his father Rajendra I in the 11th century. During his reign, he maintained the Chola authority over most of Lanka, Vengi, Kalinga and the relations with the overseas territories despite a series of revolts in the fields. He fought a long battle against the Chalukyas by losing his own life.
