Rajshahi ( Bengali: রাজশাহী, Rājśāhī; formerly Rampur Boalia ) is a city in Bangladesh. Rajshahi Division Rajshahi is the eponymous capital of the district and Rajshahi. The city has 668 400 inhabitants ( as of 2004).

Geography

Rajshahi is located on the banks of the Padma, in the northwest of the country, near the border with the Indian state of West Bengal.
