Rajská zahrada

Rajská zahrada ( German: Paradise) is a metro station, Prague subway. The station is located in the village of Černý Most, right on the street Chlumecká, in the north- east of the city. The metro station is the second to last on the eastern end of the line B and was opened on November 8, 1998; he has two platforms, each 102 meters long and 7.5 meters (upper platform) and 4.2 meters (lower platform) wide.

Metro Station Rajská zahrada is very unusual for Prague ratios, as it is located right at street level. The underground tunnel towards downtown / Hloubětín opens directly into the station in the direction of Černý Most closes at an above-ground tunnel. Furthermore, both tracks are at different levels. On a third level, a range of shops can be found. Because of its overall design of blue steel scaffolding and blue colored glass, he is considered post-modern masterpiece of Prague underground architecture and was therefore in 1999 the title of " Building of the Year ". The architects are the engineers Patrik Kotas and Jaroslav Kacovský.
