Rakoniewice

Rakoniewice ( German: Rakwitz older also Frey town ) is a town with 3,261 inhabitants in the district Grodzisk Wielkopolski, Greater Poland Voivodeship in Poland. Rakoniewice is located on the Highway No. 32 between Grodzisk Wielkopolski and Wolsztyn. The municipality borders the following municipalities Rakoniewice: Wolsztyn, Wielichowo, Kamieniec, Siedlec, Przemęt, Grodzisk Wielkopolski and Nowy Tomyśl.

History

The town was first mentioned in writing in 1252, he received the city rights in 1662nd At that time many German and Czech Protestant settlers were made up in the city and its surroundings.
