Ralf Brück

Ralf Brück, Ralf Brueck, (born 1966 in Dusseldorf ) is a German photo artist of the next generation of Bernd Becher and Thomas Ruff, and one of the representatives of the Düsseldorf School of Photography.

From 1996 to 2003 he studied with Bernd Becher and Thomas Ruff, at the Dusseldorf Art Academy, his master pupil he was. In 2004 he was awarded the Villa Romana Fellowship in Florence and 2008, the scholarship fund of the Art Foundation, Bonn. He lives and works in Dusseldorf. After his earlier work dealt with the connection of the Düsseldorf School of Photography and the American New Color Photography, he deals since 2009 with digital imaging procedures. The more and more occurring in his major work since 2011 radical interventions in the series include "Distortion ". The pop cultural anchoring of this work is also reflected in the image titles such as " Personal Jesus ", " Pink Mist ", " Transmission" and "You do not look so good".
