Ralf Lübke

Ralf Lübke ( born June 17, 1965 in Mülheim an der Ruhr ) is a former German track and field athlete and Olympic medal winner.

His great strength lay in the 200- meter track. In 1983 he went surprisingly a world indoor record over this distance, but after a few days he lost to Pietro Mennea. By 1983, he started for the Mülheim sports club Dümptener TV, from 1984 for the LG Bayer Leverkusen.

Luebke started in the Olympic Games in 1984 ( 5 200 m; 5 with the 4 × 100 m relay; over 100 m in VL excreted ) and 1988 ( bronze in the 4 × 400 m relay, 200 m excreted in the HF).

He now works at Bayer in South America.
