Ralf Schmitt

Ralf Schmitt ( born January 21, 1977 in Speyer ) is a German football player.

He began his career at VfR Speyer and then moved to FV Speyer, for whom he played until 2000 in Association League West. From there Schmitt went for two seasons at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he was employed, however, mainly in the second team. His only use in the 1st Bundesliga Schmitt received on matchday 29 of the 2000/01 season with a defeat away concord in Kaiserslautern. After his move to Wormatia Worms in 2002, he drew attention to himself by his good performance in the Rheinhessen. Although missed the Worms in third place the ascent from the Oberliga West, but Schmitt was able to achieve 19 goals in 26 games and ran into the field of view of the Karlsruher SC. The Karlsruhe committed Schmitt for season 2003/ 04 and there he was able to directly achieve the goal for 2:3 final score against 1 FC Nuremberg on Matchday 1 as a substitute. This gate during his second league debut, however, remained his only goal in the 2nd Bundesliga. Ultimately, Schmitt could not prevail in Karlsruhe's first team and in the summer of 2004 changed the Speyer in the Regionalliga Süd for FC Nöttingen. There, however, Schmitt was only half a year. During the winter break of the season 2004/ 05 he moved within the Regionalliga Süd to the sports friends from Siegen, with which he succeeded in the 2nd Bundesliga season at the end of the climb. But more matches he could there then not recorded, instead he came sporadically in the big leagues reserve the victor countries to the course. In January 2006, he joined the second team of TSV 1860 München. After the 2007/ 08 season his contract there was not renewed due to its susceptibility to injury. However, since he could not find a new club, he continued to take part in the training to keep fit. For the 2011/12 season Schmitt managed with FC Speyer 09 promotion to the siebtklassige national league, in which he is currently still active.
