Ralf Weber
Ralf Weber ( born May 31, 1969 in Blessed City ) is a former German football player.
Club career
Ralf Weber began his football career in 1974 for SpVgg grove city before moving in 1982 to Kickers Offenbach. From 1987 to 1989 he played 50 games for the second division Offenbach, in which he scored six goals. After termination, the Kickers 1989, he moved to local rivals Eintracht Frankfurt, for which he in the away match against Hamburger SV made his debut in the Bundesliga on August 4, 1989. After two further missions as a substitute, he played on August 26, 1989 already his first Bundesliga game from the start in the home match against Bayer Uerdingen and shot three minutes before the end of the compensation which promoted the harmony back to the table top. ( One minute before the final whistle shot Lothar Sippel yet it 2-1 the final score. ) The midfielder played a total of 182 top-flight appearances (19 goals) and 32 second division games ( 10 goals) for Eintracht Frankfurt, which he held until the end of his playing career in 2001 remained faithful.
Ralf Weber was plagued his entire career away from numerous injuries that forced him repeatedly during breaks. He graduated between 1995 and 1997 only two appearances for Eintracht, in the 2000 /01 season even not a single before he ended his active career after numerous operations and rehabilitation unsuccessful attempts in 2001.
Legendary is his famous " Freak Out " from the 1991/92 season in the last game against Hansa Rostock, which was lost from sight Frankfurt 1:2 and concord cost the championship title seemed to be sure. Out of anger over a not given penalty, the referee Alfonso mountain after a challenge from the Rostock player Stefan Boeger at him in the penalty area, he came after the final whistle against a television camera; the camera man suffered a black eye. Weber later apologized publicly at the cameraman, the club moreover, paid the damage.
National team career
After an earlier commitment to the German U -21 Weber celebrated on 7 September 1994 against Russia made his international debut for the senior team. By 1995, he completed a total of nine matches, but scored no hits.
