Rally for Democracy and Liberty

The Rally for Democracy and Liberty (English Rally for Democracy and Liberty, abbreviated as RDL; French Rassemblement pour la Démocratie et la Liberté ) is a Chadian rebel group, which in August 2005 by former members of the Chadian armed forces who deserted and under her Grüder and current leader Mohammed Nour united, was founded.

The main target is specified, overthrow the government of the current President Idriss Déby and want to hold elections after a two-year transition period. The Rally for Democracy and Freedom has bases in eastern Chad and the Darfur - Sudan Regiondes. On 18 December 2005 attacked the Rally for Democracy and Liberty Chadian troops who were stationed in the town of Adre, which led to the current crisis in the relations between Chad and Sudan.
