Ralph Becker (mayor)

Ralph Elihu Becker Jr. ( * May 30, 1952 in Washington, DC) is an American lawyer and politician. Since 2008 he has served as mayor of Salt Lake City, where he became the successor of Rocky Anderson. Becker is a member of the Democratic Party. He was a member of the House of Representatives from Utah, where party leader of his party.

Becker studied law and geography at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of Utah, where he also teaches as an adjunct professor for spatial planning.
