Ralph Eggleston
Ralph Eggleston ( born October 18, 1965 in Baton Rouge) is an American animator, art director and production designer. For his animated short The scarecrow he won an Oscar in 2002.
Life
Eggleston began in the company Kroyer Films and worked with on various projects. In 1990, he was responsible for the storyboard of the episode The clown with the worthies mask the animated series The Simpsons.
In 1992, Eggleston to Pixar Animation Studios to first work as an art director on the film Toy Story. For his work he was awarded the Annie Award in the Best Art Direction category. In the following years, he worked on numerous successful Pixar films as an art director and production designer.
His film The scarecrow from 2000, in which he directed, won an award in the category of Best Animated Short Film at the Academy Awards 2002.
