Ralph F. Beermann

Ralph Frederick Beermann (* August 13, 1912 in Dakota City, Nebraska, † February 17, 1977 in Sioux City, Iowa ) was an American politician. Between 1961 and 1963 he represented the third and 1963-1965 the first electoral district of the state of Nebraska in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Ralph Beermann attended the common schools and the Morningside College in Sioux City. He then became a member of the U.S. Army, where he first completed some specialized training. During the Second World War he served in North Africa and in Europe. After the war he farmed along with his six brothers in Dakota County, Nebraska a farm. The brothers were also in the rancher business.

Beermann was a member of the Republican Party. For ten years he was chairman of the party in Dakota County. In this district, he also founded the youth organization of the Republicans. In 1960 he was selected in the third electoral district of Nebraska in the U.S. House of Representatives, where he replaced Brock Lawrence on January 3, 1961. In the following elections in 1962 Beermann candidate in the first election district, where he was elected to succeed Phillip Hart Weaver. Total Ralph Beermann was able to complete in Congress until January 3, 1965 two legislative sessions. In 1964 he was not re-elected.

After the end of his time in Congress be Beermann devoted again to his private business in Nebraska. From 1972 to 1977 he was a board member of the Nebraska Public Power District. He died in a plane crash in February 1977 in Sioux City and was buried in Dakota City.
